Four Georgia coaches received prestigious honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association at its national convention in Nashville, Tenn. on January 2-5.

Former Georgia Gwinnett College head coach Brad Stromdahl received the ABCA/Diamond NAIA Regional Coach of the Year after guiding the Grizzlies to their third NAIA College World Series appearance in program history. Georgia Gwinnett finished in the semifinals and matched its deepest run in school history under Stromdahl's leadership in 2019.

Stromdahl is now the head baseball coach at Georgia State.

Longtime Georgia State head baseball coach Greg Frady was one of two coaches to receive the 2020 ABCA/Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching award.

A pair of prep coaches were also honored.

Parkview head coach Chan Brown was named the ABCA/Diamond High School Division I Region 3 Coach of the Year after helping lead Parkview to a second straight Georgia Class 7A state championship. It was the school's third state championship in the past five seasons. Brown was also named the ABCA National High School Coach of the Year.

And Pike County's Don Hanson, who led the Pirates to the Georgia Class 3A state championship, was named the ABCA/Diamond High School Division II Region 3 Coach of the Year after helping the Pirates to their first state baseball title in school history.
