Dick Prindle: North Springs High School

Dick Prindle

Dick Prindle helped turn North Springs High School into a state power during his career. He was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in 2005.

Prindle, who spent 30 years at North Springs from 1973-2002, finished with a career mark of 419-297. During his leadership, the Spartans won seven subregion titles and six region crowns. He led the program to three state quarterfinal trips, two trips to the state semifinals and his 1978 squad finished as the state runner-up.

In 1987, Prindle was named the Metro Atlanta Dugout Club Coach of the Year. In 2013, the Georgia Dugout Club named him Assistant Coach of the Year.

He coached the East-West Metro Atlanta All-Stars in 1975. In 1992, he coached the Metro Atlanta Dugout Club All-Stars.

Most of Prindle's success was by himself as he rarely had an assistant coach. He retired in 2002, but continued coaching as an assistant at Northview for six seasons and six at Johns Creek.

"We had a lot of good players, that's for sure," Prindle said.
