Georgia schools ranked in final national polls

State schools land in final national rankings

A handful of state baseball schools are ranked by national media outlets in their final baseball polls of the 2021 season.

In Perfect Game's final rankings, Buford finishes as the state highest ranked team at No. 8. The Wolves were upended by Pope in the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs after starting the season with 32 straight wins.

A pair of state champions also made the final poll. Class 7A champ Parkview finished at No. 16, while Class 6A state champion Houston County finished at No. 23.

In the final Baseball America poll, Parkview is 13th, while Houston County is 16th. Buford is ranked 20th, while Class 5A state champion Starr's Mill is ranked 36th.

MaxPreps ranked Buford 11th in its final poll, while Class 4A state champion Marist was ranked 20th and Parkview 21st.
